Significance

Criteria for significance is based on Burra Charter. All nominations must meet significance criteria in one or more of:

·         Aesthetic

·          Historic

·          Scientific

·          Social

·          Spiritual

A statement of significance must accompany the nomination and may include the following:

·          Representativeness

·          Authenticity

·          Rarity 

Other criteria within the assessment relate to

·         Degree of Risk

·         Type of Threat or Risk

·         Fate or Outcome if intervention not forthcoming
